Ice art

The amazing structures the ice can make is breath-taking. Walking in a frozen forest, early in the morning, I could hear the ice cracking all around me as the wind moved the branches. Down around the stems water had frozen and created these magnificent forms. It was more than just ice, or frost or crystals. It was actual structures and patterns that I have never seen before. These art forms are unique and ephemeral, lasting only a few hours and then gone, lost for ever. I was lucky enough to capture the moment and offer them here as an unpublished and never to be repeated collection.
